In a recent chat with Tyler, we discussed the Castilian Spanish usage of "ir a buscar a + place (i.e. al aeropuerto)" which literally translates to going to look for someone at a location (i.e. the airport). It means "to pick someone up at the airport" which can lead to some pretty hilarious misunderstandings. I mean, how could you go all the way to the airport without being certain that that someone will actually be there… and once you know where they will be, how could you not know where exactly they will be? Do the Spanish just have more time on their hands to spend localizing friends and family?
